(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Hudson says she doesn't like talking on the phone with her fianc.

The actress-and-singer Hudson became engaged to David Otunga in September 2008 and in August 2009 the couple welcomed a son together, David Daniel Otunga Jr.

Jennifer has revealed that busy work and touring schedules keep apart from her fianc for up to three or four days a week. However, the 29-year-old star says being away from David makes the pair appreciate each other more.

"He's at home. Wait a minute, he might be on the road. I don't know where he is. He travels a lot. We text constantly I'm a texter. I don't like talking on the phone. Sometimes he comes with me, when he can," she said in an interview with the Kyle and Jackie O radio show. "That way you don't get tired of each other. It feels brand new all over again. It feels different. It feels like when we first started dating."

Jennifer has revealed she never takes her engagement ring off. The American star says she keeps it on even when she is at the gym or in the shower.

"I'm not allowed to take it off. I would never hear the end of it. At the gym, I keep it on. He'd be like Jenny, why don't you have on your ring, Jenny', Oh my God," she laughed.

Jennifer missed Oprah Winfrey's final talk show after 25 years of being broadcast because of her commitments in Australia. The talented vocalist says she felt gutted that she couldn't share Oprah's "big moment" with her.

"I'm so upset that I couldn't be there. I'm like Oh my god, there's Jada and Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell.' I feel I should be there. I call her Mama Oprah, that's her big moment. I should have been there. She's amazing, she always takes the time. She's a sweetheart. She really is [as lovely in person as she is on TV]," she said.

Jennifer has revealed not everyone in the entertainment business is as warm as Oprah. The gorgeous star says she has been disappointed after meeting some of her idols who she expected to be lovely.

"That's the worse feeling when you come across that person that you love and then it's like Wow, they're not the person I thought they were.' It can be so disappointing," she confessed. It's easy in this business to lose yourself." (C) Cover Media
