The 20-year-old American actress is nominated in the best actress category at the upcoming 83rd annual Academy Awards on February 27, set to take place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
Jennifer has gained the nomination for her portrayal of Ree in Winters Bone, a thriller about a young girl on the hunt for her drug-dealing father.
The actress faces stiff competition from the likes of current favourite Natalie Portman, as well as Michelle Williams and Nicole Kidman. Jennifer isnt too confident about her chances of scooping the prize, so has been preparing herself for failure.
The star told Rolling Stone she isnt planning to prepare an acceptance speech, although she is ready for the possibility of cameras zooming onto her when another actress wins the prize.
"I have been practicing my losing face, though. Do you want to see it?" she laughed.
During the interview Jennifer also discussed her native city of Louisville, Kentucky, admitting that shes still fond of the place despite residing in Los Angeles. Jennifer teased that some of the little redneck things still come out, and made a joke in reference to stereotypes about people from her hometown.
"I'm attracted to my brother," the 20-year-old said. "Stuff like that." (C) Cover Media
