Jennifer Love Hewitt Birthday wishes!

Jennifer Love Hewitt, the American actress, producer, television director and former singer-songwriter, is turning a year older today. 

Jennifer, born in Texas, was named by her elder brother as a homage to his crush at the time of her birth. Her middle name "Love" is the result of a promise made by her mother to her best friend that if she has a daughter, she will name her after her. And thus Ms. Hewitt got the name- Jenifer Love Hewitt. 

As a young girl, Hewitt was attracted to music, which led to her first encounters with the entertainment industry. At the age of three, she sang "The Greatest Love of All" at a livestock show. By the time she was five, Hewitt already had tap dancing and ballet in her portfolio. At the age of ten, at the suggestion of talent scouts and after gaining the title of "Texas Our Little Miss Talent Winner", he moved to Los Angeles with her mother to pursue a career in both acting and singing.

After moving to Los Angeles, Hewitt appeared in more than twenty television commercials, including some for Mattel toys. Her first break came as a child actor on the Disney Channel variety show Kids Incorporated. 

Hewitt's first feature film role was in the independent film Munchie in 1992. AFter this she did a few films but it was not until the movie- I know What You Did Last Summer- that she got the well-deserved recognition. There was no looking back for Jennifer Love Hewitt after this.

She starred in the Lifetime film The Client List in 2010, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. The next year, Hewitt starred in the Hallmark Hall of Fame film The Lost Valentine in 2011. 

Jennifer Love Hewitt is a true multi-talented star. She will direct the film Wait Till Helen Comes based on the novel by Mary Downing Hahn.This will be Hewitt's feature film directorial debut after her previous direction of three episodes of Ghost Whisperer. Hewitt is also a singer. Right from singing songs for her own films, to bringing out her albums, she does it all.

In November 2009, Hewitt made a foray into comic books. Veteran writer Scott Lobdell scripted the 5-issue anthology, Jennifer Love Hewitt's Music Box, based on Hewitt's ideas. Hewitt wrote a book entitled The Day I Shot Cupid, in which she speaks of her experiences with love and dating.
