(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jesse James's ex-fiance Kat Von D got a tattoo of his face inked on her body just before their split.

In a scene from her reality show LA Ink obtained by RadarOnline, Kat surprises Jesse with the image which was modelled on a childhood picture of him.

The couple announced their split this week via social networking site Twitter and their summer wedding has been called off.

But in happier times, the tattoo artist was so in love with the biker star that she got his face tattooed on her ribcage to join the plethora of other etchings she already has all over her body.

Kat admitted that she was scared about how he was going to react and even joked that she thought he might break up with her.

But Jesse, who was previously married to Oscar winner Sandra Bullock, told her she was crazy for getting the inking but that he loved it and loved her.

Jesse's divorce from Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock was finalised in June 2010, with Kat and Jesse beginning their relationship only months later.

Jesse and Kat had been plagued by split rumours of late, although until now had denied them.

"I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share (sic)," Kat confirmed on her Twitter page. (C) Cover Media
