October 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The plate of half eaten frog legs, alligator hunting and fireworks on Thursday night pulled the curtain on the second season of MTVs hit series 'Jersey Shore'. The second season moved from the Seaside Heights of the New Jersey to that of Miami Beach with the eight housemates. As the show took MTV to new heights the closing of the second season of Jersey Shore puts an end to the self proclaimed Guidettes and Guidos.

Now with the end of this season, the Jersey Shore fans can look forward to the third season for the show which will premiere on Jan 6, 2011 and it will go back to the place where it all started the Seaside Heights. Also in the new season the gang of Snooki , JWoww and 'The Situation' along with others will have Deena Nicole Cortese as their new roommate.

While MTV managed to get one of the highest ratings for the Jersey Shore finale episode the channel now wishes to reach out to more audience. So those of who have already watched the finale episode on Thursday might well be aware of the new show that will make its debut in January. It is the Americanized version of Skins.

It will be a sexually charged teenage lifes trials but already the buzz is it is not really much liked. Lets hope MTVs this new gamble works for them. As there is already a teenage program for the young moms, Teen Mom, but at the moment MTV can still count on Jersey Shore.
