Jessica Alba has praised her eldest daughter Honor for being such a help around the house.

The Hollywood actress gave birth to her second baby girl, Haven Garner, four months ago and says her three-year-old is doing a great job as the elder child.

Speaking to Us Magazine about her growing family, the 30-year-old shared how her girls were progressing.

"Haven's so small and can't even pick up her head but she likes to smile," Jessica gushed. "She's adorable.

"Honor is just the best big sister. I guess that's a pretty great landmark in itself. She's so great with Haven."

Before Jessica gave birth back in August, she started to develop The Honest Company to help new mothers "find eco-friendly products, like diapers".

Her new business has been in the works for more than two years and is tentatively set to launch in January.

"It's really exciting to have it so close to coming to life!" she said.

"When I was preparing for my first child I started doing research online about how to have a safe home. I was completely shocked by how many dangerous chemicals were in so many products that I used.

"We were able to create a safe environment for our family but it was very, very expensive. I understand that not a lot of families have the means to buy all new items and products... but there are a lot of great eco-sites out there that are helping people buy safe products."
