(Cover) - EN Fashion - Jessica Szohr hates stylists touching her hair because she likes it to be messy.

The actress is best known for playing Vanessa Abrams in the hit US television series Gossip Girl alongside fellow beauties Leighton Meester, Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen.

Jessica says she achieves her tousled locks by making sure hairdressers don’t groom her too much, as she thinks her mane looks better when it is natural.

“I like my hair messy most of the time. That’s one of my things – I’ll go to a photo shoot and be like, ‘Don’t touch my hair!’” she told the British edition of Glamour magazine.

Jessica said accessories are another key part of her signature style, revealing she has a special fondness for spectacles.

“I create my own style by wearing fake glasses. I always wanted glasses when I was little. And I like a lot of rings,” she confessed.

Jessica says that although she can often be seen adorned in the latest designer outfits in Gossip Girl, her real-life dress sense is far more low maintenance. She has become more adventurous since doing the show though, and attributes her new daring style to one of her stylists from Gossip Girl.

“My style is much simpler than my Gossip Girl character, Vanessa’s. I really am a jeans-and-T –shirt girl,” admitted the starlet. “Eric Daman, the stylist on Gossip Girl, told me to take more risks. Now I wear high heels more and I’ll wear something a little crazy at times.” (C) Cover Media
