(Cover) - EN Star Style - Joan Collins doesnt go to fashion shows anymore because they are usually celebrity circuses.

The 77-year-old star is still a firm follower of the trends, and used to love attending collection debuts all over the world. However, she thinks the way runway events are staged has changed dramatically over the last few years, and not for the better.

The shows today, theyre not so much fashion shows as cabarets now, she said. It is a sort of celebrity circus. I also found that its very difficult to see whats happening on the runway, because photographers are tripping over your leg. Id rather stay home and watch it on the fashion TV.

Joan loves dressing trendily, although she ensures her look is always age appropriate. She cant abide seeing women of a certain age slavishly following trends, which is why she is careful about the clothes she buys.

I spend quite a lot of time planning what Im going to wear, she told WWD. I would never wear harem pants or kitten heels. (C) Cover Media
