(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene are rumoured to have split.

The young couple began dating in July last year and quickly became inseparable. Ashley accompanied singer Joe on trips abroad when he was performing and there was even speculation the pair might marry, but they are thought to have grown apart.

No reason has been given for the break-up, which is understood to have happened several weeks ago.

It was mutual and amicable, a source told New York Post.

Work schedules are thought to have been a contributing factor to romance difficulties, as both Joe, 21, and 24-year-old Ashley have been very busy of late. Ashley has been shooting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2, and has films including LOL, The Apparition and Butter due for release this year. Joe is also hectic, thanks to the debut solo album he is working on.

News of the apparent break-up comes as a shock as Joe gushed about his romance with Ashley in a magazine interview this week. Discussing her with Details, he praised the way she always considers him.

I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She'll fly out to my shows - she's been to places in South America that I can't even pronounce, he said.

Ashleys representative wasnt able to be contacted, while Joes turned down a request for comment. (C) Cover Media
