Joe Jonas to release solo album

28th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joe Jonas will release his debut solo album next year, according to reports.

The singer shot to fame in the American pop/rock band Jonas Brothers, alongside his siblings Nick and Kevin, and they became one of the most sought-after groups in the world.

Nick has already pursued other projects with his group Nick Jonas & the Administration, and it has now been claimed Joe will also work apart from his brothers on a new, more grown-up sounding album.

According to E! News, the 21-year-old is recording the record at the moment, and sources claim he wants to create a more dangerous sound, seeking inspiration from the likes of R&B star Justin Timberlake.

However, a representative from Jonas Brothers is yet to confirm whether a solo album is in the pipeline. It has been established that Joe is currently collaborating with numerous musicians.

"Joe has been working with various writers and producers but there's no confirmation on what it will be for," a Jonas Brothers representative told MTV News.

In the past Joe has spoken of his desire to explore his creative skills and expand his sound, although he has never explicitly stated that he wants a solo career. The star says he thoroughly enjoys making music and working with new people, but he doesnt have a fixed idea of where it will take him.

"I've been working on lots of music. I've been working [with] lots of musicians having a great time. [I have] been writing with a lot of friends of mine and some artists here and there, and we'll see what comes out it, he told MTV News last month. (C) Cover Media
