John Abraham signs 'Aankhen' sequel

28th July 2014

It seems like Bollywood Actor John Abraham is having fun doing sequels these days.

After tasting success with 'Race 2' and 'Housefull 2' previously, John signed 'Welcome Back', a sequel to the hit film 'Welcome'. And now we hear that the star is all set to sign the dotted line for yet another sequel.

While working on the pre-production of 'Welcome Back', John came across Director Anees Bazmee's idea for a sequel to the 2002 film 'Aankhen'

The film which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal and Akshay Kumar in the lead was about three blind men pulling off a planned bank robbery.

John immediately showed keen interest in this film and within no time Anees and John started discussing the possibilities of working together on the same.

After discussing the initial idea with John, Anees is currently working on the script. The two are slated to meet next week to discuss the script as well as John's character at length.

However, Anees is not ready to talk about the film in detail. In fact, he exclaims that he won't be sharing any details of the film till the script is ready; though he did reveal that he shall approach big B to play the lead yet again.

Anees also stated that he is working hard on the script to make sure that Big B is impressed with the same and exclaimed that the film will boast of big names for sure.
