After an ugly spat between the producers JA Entertainment and KriArj Entertainment following a split, John Abraham the lead actor and producer of the film have come up with a new release date for the film. Interestingly, 'Parmanu' which was set for an April 6 release date moves to a May 4 release date and the significance of the release date is that this will be the same month that marks Pokhran tests 20th anniversary.
Moreover, John's banner JA Entertainment on 2nd April announced the termination of a contract with KriArj Entertainment due to lack of communication and creative differences. Parmanu is helmed by Abhishek Sharma and it also stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. It is produced by John's production house, JA Entertainment.
JA Entertainment's spokesperson said, "Much in line with India's journey to becoming a nuclear power, our film's journey to its release has also had its own ups and downs. However, it is perhaps a befitting tribute to the true heroes of our nuclear program- our army and our scientists, that Parmanu is releasing in the same month as we are celebrating 20 years of Operation Shakti- India's nuclear test explosions in Pokhran in May 1998. We are extremely proud of the film and what it stands for and can't wait to take it to our audience on 4th May 2018."
The film will clash with Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor's comedy-drama '102 Not Out'. Watch out for Parmanu - The story of Pokhran on May 4 in the theatres near you.
