John wants to make a charity contribution

7th March 2013

While Bollywood actor Salman Khan has launched his clothing line 'Being Human' to contribute to society through its earnings, John Abraham too wants to use his brand name to garner charity.

However, unlike Salman, John isn't launching his own brand, but selling off clothes from his own wardrobe to raise money. He recently stated that he would donate and auction most of his clothes and direct the collected sum to a charitable organization.

"I intend to give away most of my clothes from my wardrobe. We have more than needed and could do with the required number of clothes. Many of our clothes get wasted as we don't utilize them after shoots. So through an auction we can make a lot of money and use the same for charity," said John.

He further added, "I think it's a great activity to do. I will probably get on to that space where I can donate that kind of money to people. We often get clothes on shoots, they just get wasted. So it's better to give it off to people, auction it off and make money for charity."

Hopefully, the others can take a cue from John and follow his wonderful footsteps.
