(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Johnny Depp wont be watching the 3D edition of the latest Pirates movie due to his weird eye.

The 47-year-old actor portrays Captain Jack Sparrow in the hugely popular franchise, whose fourth instalment Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is due for release later this month.

Johnny is famous for preferring not to watch himself on screen, and he is even less likely to do so when movies use 3D technology as he has problems wearing the special enhancing spectacles.

I always find it difficult to watch myself and my excuse this time is that I actually cant, the actor told Access Hollywood.

Im unable to see in 3D. I cant my eyes dont see in 3D. I have a weird eye.

It just doesnt work. Ive never might come as a surprise to you but, Ive never seen anything normally,

As normal people, you know, cause one of my eyes doesnt see very much.

Johnny is excited about the release of On Stranger Tides, and has been discussing some unusual ideas he had for making the movie a little different. The star told producers turning Captain Jack Sparrow into a woman could be a funny twist, although he soon decided that wouldnt be a good idea.

"It was part of the director wanting to make things a little different. So I said 'Well... there is the sex change," he is quoted as saying in British newspaper The Sun. (C) Cover Media
