The actress recently announced the Muse rocker had popped the question, much to her delight. The pair are expecting their first child together later this year and havent set a wedding date as yet.

Although Kate is looking forward to walking down the aisle, shes having problems with the language associated with marriage. Shes so used to calling Matt her boyfriend it feels strange to introduce him as her fianc, so shes settled on a new moniker.

Im really excited. Although its weird to say fianc to me. I like baby daddy, she laughed on US TV talk show Live With Regis and Kelly. Hell be baby-daddy until hes hubby.

Kate also showed off her giant engagement ring, which featured a nine carat square-cut diamond with two baguettes. When Kelly Ripa remarked the gem was huge, Kate giggled in response.

The band is rumoured to be worth as much as $200,000.

Kate already has seven-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson and has remarked she thinks shes having a girl this time round. She is not bothered about the sex of the baby as she knows Ryder is keen for a brother and is simply looking forward to being a mother again. (C) Cover Media
