Justin Bieber draws colossal crowd

14th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber's Argentinean fans were so frenzied that police had to close of an "entire neighbourhood" for the star.

Justin is in Buenos Aires for the South American leg of his My World Tour. Upon arrival at the Faena Hotel in the Puerto Madero area around 600 of his dedicated fans were waiting for him. The streets became so congested that police had to become involved.

"The hotel had to call the police to bring barricades and close off the entire neighbourhood. It was bigger than when Evita appeared on the balcony of the presidential palace," a source joked to New York Post, referring to the legendary former Argentinean First Lady.

Justin played two shows at the enormous River Plate Stadium.

Cobra Starship were the singer's opening act on this leg of the tour. The performances in Argentina were made extra special as they celebrated lead singer Gabe Saporta's birthday. The musicians reportedly celebrated with dinner in the hotel.

Justin was thrilled with the response from his fans.

He took to Twitter to express his feelings about performing on the same stage as the late Michael Jackson.

"crazy! we were on the same stage as MJ 2nite! #HONORED (sic)!!" he wrote.

Justin's tour continues on to Chile, Peru and Venezuela and will finish later this month. (C) Cover Media
