Kaka Radhakrishnan, the man responsible for a lot of beaming smiles and giggles passed away on Thursday. The actor/comedian moved on at the age of 86 after a brief illness.
Kaka was introduced in the industry by his childhood friend Sivaji Ganesan in the 1940s. After hits like 'Mangayarkkarasi' and 'Manohara', Kaka gained popularity, and also got the name Kaka (meaning crow) inspired by his character in one of the movies.
His cute physique and the art of using his eyes for every emotion, made him an indeed adorable person to watch. After working with a number of hit yesteryear stars, Kaka made a comeback in the industry with 'Guna', thanks to Kamal Hasan. Films like 'Guna', 'Thevar Magan' and 'Vasool Raja' depicted Kaka as a cool dude and he became an instant hit among the youth.
Kaka had done 400 films in his career and was popular in more than 5 generations.
In spite of his fragile state, he always walked with pride and held his head high. In his last few days Kaka fell ill a lot and it was not easy for him to keep going. But, he continued to give smiles and joy till the very end.
