19th April 2018

The Madame Tussauds Wax Museum of London is one of the major tourist attraction across the globe. It is a treat to watch the artistic wax statues of various celebrities from across the world. Many Bollywood celebs have made it to the list and one of the recent addition to the statue tally is the Dharma Productions head Karan Johar.

It is a prestigious moment for KJo as Madame Tussauds has chosen Johar as the first ever Bollywood's film-maker to join the list. Karan's name is quite popular among the fans out there and it was often enquired that why is the filmmaker's statue still not there? So this demand made Karan Johar visit the UK to officially meet Madame Tussauds' creative directors and the Merlin Studios in London last Thursday.

KJo's waxwork is currently under making using the traditional sculpting and modern-day technology method. However, it will take six months to present Karan's wax statue at Madame Tussauds.

Karan entered Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' which turned out to be a milestone hit. Meanwhile, the 45-year-old is committed to a Television reality show India's Next Superstar on Star Plus. His much-awaited celeb talk show 'Koffee With Karan' will soon air its 15th season from October this year as well.
