It had been 13 long years since Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur got married. Due to some differences in their marriage, the couple filed for a divorce and after a long battle they are legally separated from each other. On Monday i.e June 13, 2016 the court accepted the settlement conditions which were agreed by both the parties after which the divorce was granted.

The divorce was agreed upon the conditions that the custody of their kids-Samaira and Kiaan would remain with Karisma and Sunjay can spend two weekends a month with the kids. Also the Khar's property which was owned by Sunjay's father, late Surinder Kapur has been transferred on Karisma's name.

Karisma's kids will spend their vacations with both Karisma and Sunjay and had to divide their time accordingly. Karisma's father Randhir Kapoor commented on the above issue, he said, "I don't want to comment on this.It's a closed chapter for our family."

He earlier quoted that "I don't know if it is a good or a bad thing, but it is certainly a sad moment for our family . The only silver lining in this is that the children will spend most part of the year with us. Karisma has been through a rough time in the last few years. It has been emotionally draining for her. So, I hope the verdict offers her some respite."
