The cast was set and the crew was ready; the much awaited movie, Dhoom 3, was all set to go on floors when a sudden twist put a halt to their plans.

The enire crew of Dhoom 3, including the film's stars, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, was to leave for a foreign schedule in the first week of August. But as Katrina is currently gearing up for the release of her film Ek Tha Tiger with her former flame Salman Khan, she might not be able to join Dhoom 3 team before the release of the film.

Ek Tha Tiger is slated to release on August 15 and as the 'D-day' is just a few weeks away, Salman opined that Katrina's presence for the film's promotions will be extremely pivotal. The duo has planned an extensive all India tour to promote their highly anticipated film. But when the news of Katrina being slated to fly off with her 'Dhoom 3' team fell on his ears, Salman made sure that he made her stay back. He expressed his opinion to the head honchos of Yash Raj who are producing both the talked about films. After considering Salman's suggestion, they have apparently decided to give in.

And considering the fact that the films are from the same banner, no date issues were raised by either of the teams.
