(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Moss reportedly asked military jets not to fly over her wedding as she didn't want noise disturbance.
The supermodel married rocker Jamie Hince in the Cotswolds, UK, last Friday. The reception was held at the couple's nearby country home, which is located near the military base of RAF Brize Norton.
Kate was said to be worried planes taking off might interrupt her wedding or the following party because they are so loud, so apparently requested air traffic be put on hold. She was told that wouldn't be possible, as the base services Afghanistan and is vital for troops.
"RAF Brize Norton is a fully operational wartime air base," a military source told British newspaper The Sun.
"Flights from the base carry troops and vital equipment directly to Afghanistan. These flights are absolutely crucial. The idea that the top military brass would put these flights on hold or change their routes just to give a celeb some peace on their wedding day is absolutely inconceivable.
"Kate should consider herself lucky she just got a polite refusal."
The model's big day went ahead as planned and took place without a hitch. Kate looked stunning in a John Galliano wedding dress, with claims she jumped into a swimming pool wearing the gown after the nuptials.
The star and her new husband are currently enjoying a honeymoon aboard retail mogul Sir Philip Green's 109ft. super-yacht in the Mediterranean off Corsica. (C) Cover Media
