(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Winslet has reportedly split from her model boyfriend after four months.

The 35-year-old actress confirmed her marriage to Sam Mendes was over earlier this year. She then took time away from the limelight to focus on her kids Mia, ten, and six-year-old Joe.

In July, it was revealed she had been on a string of dates with model Louis Dowler. They were spotted together in New York, with Kate apparently so sure the romance would last she introduced her beau to her parents. However, she has now decided she needs time alone.

Louis was just the tonic Kate needed after her painful split from Sam and they had a wonderful time, a source told British newspaper The Daily Mail.

However, they have realised their relationship isnt working and Kate needs space to be on her own. She is very grateful to Louis for helping her pick her life back up after her marriage ended and they had a lot of fun together, but she felt it had come to an end and wants to concentrate on her career and children.

Louis had been planning to move to Chicago while Kate shoots a new movie there. The British-born model has now decided to come back to London as he gets over the end of the romance.

Louis was all for supporting Kate in Chicago and has bonded really well with her children. But Kate felt she needed to go alone in the end and have time to herself, an insider explained. She feels she has rushed into things and wants to be alone to find out what it is that she wants.

Kate was previously married to Mias father Jim Threapleton, with the pair divorcing in 2001. She married Sam, who she has Joe with, in 2003, but they confirmed they had separated in March. (C) Cover Media
