Michaels three children - Prince Michael I, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Prince Michael II, known as Blanket and his parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson, have been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and have revealed they are still struggling to deal with his death.

When Paris was asked what she misses about her father, she replied: Everything.

She also insisted Michael was just a normal dad who loved to cook up tasty treats for his kids.

"I'd say he was the best cook ever," Paris smiled in the interview which was aired in the US on Monday. "He made the best French toast in the world.

"One time we went on the roof in Las Vegas at our house, eating Snickers and drinking soda."

Katherine revealed the day Michael died was the worst day of her life and she thinks about her son all the time. Katherine continues to grieve for the pop star and says her pain hasnt lessened.

"I don't think I'll ever be healed," she told Oprah. "It will get better, but some days it's like it just happened. It hurts. It really hurts.

Michaels father, Joe Jackson, also admitted for the first time that he had been violent towards the star when he was growing up. However, he insists he doesnt regret his decision because it ensured his children had behaved well and avoided getting into trouble.

I don't [regret the beatings], he said. It kept them out of jail, and I raised them right and they were good kids."

"You might as well admit it: That's the way black people raised their children," Katherine said. "He used a strap." (C) Cover Media
