(Cover) - EN Star Style - Katherine Jenkins is fussy about her diet.

The 30-year-old songstress is one of the worlds most successful classical-popular crossover artists, having received high praise for her hit albums including Living a Dream and Believe.

Katherine takes her music very seriously, and as a result is strict with regards to the gourmet pleasures she allows herself.

I am fussy, about my diet and straining my voice, she explained. I know, sounds a bit over the top.

Katherine has eased up on herself lately, and allows herself the occasional treat. One of her favourite indulges is a glass of rum mixed with cola, although she does ban alcoholic beverages before a big concert.

But Im not as bad as I used to be. These days I dont drink alcohol for five days before a show very dehydrating for the vocal cords, and all that acid reflux, she told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

I used to ban it for a fortnight. Nightmare. No Malibu and Coke.

The beautiful star also discussed the work she does in collaboration with the British Forces Foundation, entertaining British troops who are abroad fighting on the frontline. She admits when shes spending time at army bases she tries to tone down her glamorous appearance, so that the soldiers dont feel uncomfortable.

I slop around in my combats, there is nowhere to shower, but its part of all being in it together, she added. (C) Cover Media
