Director Prakash Jha is caught in the crossfire of Bollywood cat-fights. The director who has worked with Katrina Kaif in his film 'Raajneeti' is currently working with Deepika Padukone in his upcoming film 'Aarakshan'. Prakash Jha has recently joined Twitter after being inspired by Amitabh Bachchan and just like any other star on Twitter; Prakash too has fallen into controversies citing his tweets. The tweet that created an uproar in his clan was because of Deepika Padukone.
Prakash in his tweet had praised Deepika for completing the dubbing work of the film 'Aarakshan' in the span of just 4-5 days flat. One might think that why should this upset Katrina? Here's why. Katrina didn't take this compliment for Deepika with a pinch of salt as she felt that this was an indirect taunt at her. It's a well known fact that Katrina had taken nothing less than 40 days to dub for her 20 minute role in the film. That's the reason she felt that Prakash Jha had indirectly taunted her by comparing her work to that of Deepika's. It is believed that Katrina personally called up Prakash Jha to clear the air and the two had detailed conversation over the phone.
Earlier, before 'Aarakshan' was announced, it was touted that Prakash was very impressed with Katrina's performance in 'Raajneeti' and had offered her 'Aarakshan' before Deepika. When Deepika was officially announced to be a part of the film, the rumours of Katrina doing Deepika's part, were considered to be a publicity tool.
