(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry joked that she needed a doctor on standby before her latest cooking class.

The singer has enrolled in a culinary course in an attempt to become more domesticated. Katy joked that her third class, which involved knife skills in the kitchen, was a particularly high risk challenge for her.

"COOKING CLASS TRES! Knife skills tonight. Have the Dr. on standby please (sic)," Katy Tweeted.

The 27-year-old star began the classes earlier this week. In a short period of time she seems to have improved her culinary expertise already. Having survived the knife lesson, the bubbly songstress boasted about her latest kitchen creation by tweeting a picture of her meal.

"Truffled chicken over a bed of grilled vegetables," Katy teased. "Don't hate the player, hate the game (sic)."

This triumph comes after Katy's success making a breakfast omelette. The star revealed her victory with this simple dish explaining it had given her hope she isn't a dunce in the kitchen.

"2ND night of cooking classes. This time accompanied by @shannonwoodward Mise en place?" Katy tweeted before the cooking course which was followed by: "I might have just made a successful trio of breakfast omelettes that DID NOT turn into scrambles just now. #lilsuzyhomemaker #theresstillhope (sic)."

Her lessons in gastronomy were thought to be an attempt to impress singer John Mayer. However, recent reports suggest the couple are no longer an item. (C) Cover Media
