(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Clarkson is "super happy" right now.

The singer has been discussing her relationship with Brandon Blackstock, the son of her manager, and can't contain her excitement about the romance.

The couple has been dating since the end of 2011 and the American Idol star has credited her beau with giving her confidence.

"I think as you get old, you just get less worried about the little stuff that doesn't matter and you focus more on the bigger picture," she told People. "And, you know, I'm also in love. I'm just super happy right now."

Kelly also revealed that she leads a completely normal life.

The Because Of You star insisted that despite her glamorous profession, she and Brandon enjoy nothing more than walking their German Shepherd puppy or watching a movie together.

However, she is grateful her boyfriend works in the same industry as her.

"We're very super real like, what you see is what you get," she added. "So I don't think we're cool enough to have something super surprising [about us]," she said. "One of my favourite things is we're both in the business. He gets my job and he gets how busy it can get, and he gets the sacrifices that we both have to make with our jobs." (C) Cover Media
