(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kevin McHale wants Gwyneth Paltrow to "adopt" him.

The 23-year-old actor is best known for his role as Artie Abrams in hit US television series Glee.

Kevin and his Glee co-stars were joined by Hollywood actress Gwyneth on the show this year, after she was brought in to guest star as substitute teacher Holly Holiday.

Kevin admires Gwyneth's nurturing nature and has joked that he wants her to take care of him beyond the confines of the TV programme's set.

"I love Gwyneth. She's amazing. I want her to adopt me," he quipped in an interview with BBC Radio One.

Kevin also recalled the time when Gwyneth introduced him to superstar Beyonc Knowles, 29. The American actress is famously good friends with the international singer, and Kevin has gushed about her connections and her willingness to help him meet world-famous stars.

"I met [Beyonc] at the Grammys with Gwyneth. She was so nice. Gwyneth is the best wing woman ever!" he laughed.

Glee has seen a number of guest stars on the show, including Britney Spears. Kevin was starstruck when he met the songstress, and was mortified by his "uncool" behaviour.

"[Having Britney on the show] was just weird. We're on this show that we thought would never work out to two-and-a-half years later..." he explained. "I thought I was gonna be cool. I think I gasped. I was so embarrassed. I got to talk to her and give her a high five!" (C) Cover Media
