Gwyneth Paltrow believes aging is "exciting."
The actress celebrated her 40th birthday last month.
Though she was initially apprehensive about leaving her thirties behind, she has quickly embraced entering a more mature epoch.
"I was really worried about it, leading up to the day, but now I feel really happy and content with my life," Gwyneth confessed to Us Weekly.
"I'm excited to move into the next phase. It's much more exciting than I thought it would be."
Gwyneth reveals that she will persist in certain practices to maintain her well-being in her 40s.
Meditation and relaxation is imperative for her busy lifestyle.
"I think I try to promote self-growth and reflection for myself every day," she explained.
Gwyneth, who has two children, Apple, eight, and Moses, six, with rocker husband Chris Martin, wants her tots to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to involving them in sports like soccer and gymnastics, she encourages them to be sound mentally too.
"I feel that mental happiness and physical happiness are so closely related, and especially for kids, because they have so much energy," she said.
