(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kiefer Sutherland reportedly decided to end things with his girlfriend so she could find a more "suitable" partner.

The actor had dated Siobhan Bonnouvrier for three years before their split was confirmed earlier this month. At the time no reason was given for the breakup, but it's now been claimed Siobhan was keen to settle down while Kiefer had other ideas.

The style director of Allure magazine was also said to be feeling ready to have a baby, while the actor was less convinced. Kiefer has been married twice before and has 23-year-old daughter Sarah Jude.

"Kiefer loves Siobhan, but felt he was constantly being nagged about having a baby and settling down," a source told National Enquirer. "[He decided it was best] to cut Sioghan loose so she could find someone more suitable."

Last year, it was thought the couple were planning to marry. Siobhan was spotted sporting a giant diamond band on her ring finger while holidaying in Italy, sparking wedding rumours. (C) Cover Media
