(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian "cried all weekend" while trying to decide whether to end her marriage.
The reality TV star filed for divorce from Kris Humphries yesterday, following their August 20 wedding. She has cited irreconcilable differences, although hasn't confirmed any other reason for the split.
The date of Kim and Kris' break-up was stated as yesterday, meaning they had been married for just 72 days. It's been claimed Kim thought hard about whether she wanted to dissolve the union and didn't finalise her decision until Sunday evening.
"Sources directly connected with Kim tell us... KK cried all weekend, deciding to file legal docs, then changing her mind several times over," reports TMZ.
The star apparently knew something wasn't right in her relationship, but was unsure whether it was beyond repair.
According to the site, Kim began to think differently after Kris hired a Hollywood publicist. She apparently felt it was a strange move by her basketball player spouse.
"He's not in f**king Hollywood. He plays sports," she is quoted as saying.
Kim, 31, and 26-year-old Kris signed a pre-nuptial agreement before tying the knot. It means she will not have to share any of her wealth with him once their split is final.
The $2 million engagement ring Kris presented Kim with has been a hotly debated topic. It's not known whether she will return it, although under California law she does not have to. The star stepped out without the band on for the first time yesterday.
Kim's family are rallying round her in the wake of the break-up.
Her brother Rob is currently competing in TV show Dancing with the Stars, and admitted his sister is finding things hard at the moment.
"She's obviously going through a lot right now," he explained to ET. "It's a tough time but we're very supportive as a family."
Sisters Kourtney and Khlo have used Twitter to speak out in support of Kim.
"Our sister is going through a difficult time but we're a close family and are sticking together like always. We appreciate everyone's kindness and support. @KimKardashian, we love you (sic)," Kourtney wrote.
"Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer! I love YOU (sic)," Khlo Tweeted. (C) Cover Media
