Kim Kardashian is apparently moving toward a reunion with ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush.

The 31-year-old is said to be feeling down after receiving a backlash following her divorce filing from estranged husband Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage.

But Life & Style magazine is reporting that Kim and Reggie have been in regular contact since her split from Kris and are growing close again.

"Reggie reached out to Kim via text shortly after she announced she was filing for divorce to make sure she was okay," a family friend told the publication.

"They've stayed in touch ever since, texting and talking. Kim was Reggie's first love. He knows she's hurting right now, but when the time is right, he'll swoop in and take care of her."

When Kris counter-filed Kim's divorce petition with his own claims that she fraudulently married him, she again turned to Reggie as a shoulder to cry on.

"He's concerned about her. He's making sure she's holding it together," a friend shared about the former lovers' relationship.

"Reggie always knew that it wasn't going to work between Kim and Kris, so he's been waiting and watching."

The NFL player and the reality star dated on and off for three years before finally calling it quits in March 2010.

The Kardashian family had taken to Reggie much more than Kris with Kim's mother even declared once that if Kim didn't marry Reggie then she would.
