(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian's marriage was just for publicity, according to new reports.
The reality star filed for divorce from husband Kris Humphries just 72 days after they said I do' but it was all for money it is claimed.
A source close to the Keeping up with the Kardashians reality show production told RadarOnline that the whole thing was nothing but a "hoax and a publicity stunt."
"It was pretty much an arranged marriage right from the start," the insider said. "Kim was looking for a husband and Kris was selected for her, amongst others.
"She wasn't really into him but she hoped she would be able to develop some feelings, but it never happened. She was never particularly attracted to him."
The source continued that the end of the relationship is not a big deal to Kim because it was never real.
"The whole wedding was a total hoax and a publicity stunt," the insider alleged. "It was great for ratings and it was an amazing money maker.
"That's it though, period. Kris turned out to not be as malleable as everyone hoped he would be, he was pictured out partying with other girls, Kim really couldn't care less for him, she decided to end it."
The whole wedding apparently netted the family $18 million including $15 million for the TV rights of the four-hour wedding special, $1 million from People magazine for the exclusive wedding pictures and numerous other magazine deals.
Kim also received $500,000 to host her bachelorette party at a Las Vegas nightclub, it is claimed.
But the source added that even the split could just be a publicity stunt and the couple are gearing up for round two which will involve them going to filmed counselling and couples therapy.
Meanwhile, Kim is not letting the split get in the way of her work. She will be taking a promotional trip to Australia later this week as planned. (C) Cover Media
