(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Halle Berry's alleged stalker had pleaded not guilty to harassing the actress.
Richard Franco has been charged with felony stalking and residential burglary but claimed his innocence during the arraignment at Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.
The 27-year-old was arrested by Halle's security team back in July after he jumped over the fence of her Hollywood Hills home.
He will now stand trial and has been ordered back to court on November 28 by Judge Dennis Landin and the trial will commence on December 20.
Franco is currently in jail on $150,000 bail and the Oscar winner was not present at the hearing but was represented by her attorney Blair Berk.
The actress testified during Franco's last hearing where she revealed her fear for her wellbeing and that of her three-year-old little girl Nahla.
"She saw the defendant standing at the kitchen door," her statement said. "She was afraid for her safety and that of her daughter, as well. She hired armed security to stay at her residence 24 hours."
Halle was granted a temporary restraining order against Franco and he must stay at least 100 yards away from the star, her daughter, her vehicle and her workplace. (C) Cover Media
