(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Richards is "not having the easiest time" in rehab.

The 47-year-old reality star entered an undisclosed rehabilitation facility earlier this month to treat her alcohol and prescription drug abuse.

Although she reportedly left the centre yesterday, Kim decided to return.

"Kim tried to leave and she ended up coming back," an insider told Us Weekly.

"She is and was being very defiant and is obviously not having the easiest time."

Kim's role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was in jeopardy due to her excessive use of drink and pills. She was urged by Bravo television executives to seek help in order to avert tragedy.

During last season's finale, Kim had a massive argument with her sister Kyle who called her an "alcoholic".

In episodes aired back in October of the new season, new cast member Brandi Glanville accused Kim, who is Paris Hilton's aunt, of being "wasted out of her f**king mind."

In another recent show, Kim admitted that she had been taking anti-anxiety and antidepressant medications. She also said she was taking an anti-seizure drug, which is known to treat alcoholism.

The mother-of-four is a former Disney actress, starring in several films in the 70s and 80s but faded into obscurity until her role in the reality show.

Kim visited rehab several times in the past and almost died of alcohol poisoning years ago.
