Amanda Bynes is reportedly going to rehab in the midst of her legal woes.

The 26-year-old actress was charged with two misdemeanour counts of hit-and-run last week, resulting in her driving privileges being temporarily revoked. She is also suspected of driving under the influence.

Her car has since been impounded after officials discovered she was driving on a suspended licence.

According to Rumor Fix, Amanda will be admitted to a rehabilitation facility either Tuesday night or during the day on Wednesday.

Apparently Amanda is motivated to seek treatment to "escape jail time and possibly be sentenced to probation."

Amanda was also photographed driving aimlessly and smoking from what appeared to be a marijuana pipe last week.

According to the website TMZ, Amanda is telling friends to stop trying to intervene because "everything's fine".

The actress has reportedly refuted rumours about her mental state, claiming the stories are "are being blown way out of proportion."
