January 28, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): The wives of most of the Bollywood stars have been seen changing their surnames following their marriage. It includes many renowned heroines like Aishwarya Rai, who added the surname of Bachchans. Malaika Arora took the surname of Arbaaz Khan and Shah Rukh Khans wife is also known as Gauri Khan now.

However, there are also exceptions in the industry in the form of Bollywood perfectionist hero Aamir Khans wife Kiran Rao. It has been more than five years when Kiran and Aamir tied the knot but since then the lady is maintaining her original surname Rao.

Kiran who debuted as a director with the recently released film Dhobi Ghat says that she is sure Kiran Rao Khan would sound quite stylish but she prefers it the way it is. She adds that she does not like to change her name, which sounds very simple to ear. The cool and straight lady says that everyone grows up with the dream that his or her name will turn superb one day but that should not come with some change in the original name. She says that she is quite comfortable with her name and Aamir also understands that. He agrees with her point of view and he doesnt have any objection to her decision.

Well, if Aamir has no objection to it then no one can question her decision.
