'Kochadaiyaan', which was supposed to be a Diwali gift for Rajini fans is now postponed. 

The delay was kept under the carpets to avoid hue and cry among the fans. However, Kochadaiyaan producer, Dr Murli Manohar confirmed the news recently. 

Reportedly, Ajay Devgn’s 'Son of Sardar', listed to release on Diwali is expected to affect Kochadaiyaan’s hindi version. Initially the team was planning to take on Ajay's venture, but later altered the plans. 

"This is Rajni's first release since he was unwell and therefore very special to him and to his fans. We want to make sure Kochadaiyyan is just perfect in every way," said Dr. Manohar.
