Kumki goes on floors

13th July 2011

The maiden acting venture of Vikram Prabhu, son of Prabhu and grandson of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, has been titled 'Kumki' (meaning wild elephant). The film was officially launched at a function in Chennai recently.

Speaking on the occasion, director Prabhu Solomon said, "Like my earlier venture 'Mynaa', 'Kumki' too is based on a real life incident. It will be set in the backdrop of a forest and it is an intense love story."

'Kumki' will be produced by Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers Brothers Film Media Pvt. Ltd. in association with UTV Motion Pictures. Interestingly, the two production houses have signed a three-film agreement.

As per the deal, Thirrupathi Brothers' under production films 'Vettai' directed by Lingusamy, director Balaji Sakthivel's 'Vazhakku Enn 18/9' and director Prabhu Solomon's 'Kumki', will be marketed by UTV. "The three films will be release one after another," sources say.
