Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth, who is completely alright after successfully undergoing treatment at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital for kidney-related ailment, is expected to return to Chennai on Wednesday i.e. today.
Immediately upon his return, he will start work on 'Rana', his forthcoming film, which was halted after he fell ill on its first day of shoot. Directed by K S Ravikumar, the film to be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi will have Deepika Padukone as heroine.
Sources in Chennai airport said the numero uno actor of Tamil film industry was likely to land by a Singapore Airlines flight at 10 pm on July 13. However, an official confirmation from family circles was awaited.
The top star suffered from exhaustion on 29th April, the first day of the shoot of 'Rana' and was admitted to St. Isabel Hospital in Chennai. He was discharged the same day only to be readmitted there on 4th May for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.
On the 13th of May, he was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre at Porur, on the outskirts of Chennai, for a respiratory infection and other problems. He was taken to Singapore for further treatment in the last week of May.
