It was announced recently that actor Kunal Kapoor has bagged India’s first food film ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ that is produced by Anurag Kashyap. The film is which is a love story has a theme of the central characters in the film bonding over their love for food.
The shooting of the film starring Kunal recently commenced in Punjab which is popular for its delicacies. Every scene of the film revolves around the central theme ‘food’. Kunal Kapoor who says he's a complete foodie says he couldnt help gorging on authentic punjabi cuisine even though it was prepared in rela ghee. And gorging on the delicious food has left him with extra weight that he had put on while shooting for the film in Punjab.
He recently revealed that as soon as he touches Mumbai he will need to hit the gym to get back in shape. “It's nice to eat Punjabi cuisine as it's not only tasty but also quite healthy. But during the shooting I ate so much that food once I get back to Mumbai I will have to start exercising to get in shape,” said Kunal. He further gave away the reasons for his eventual weight gain, “I even tasted the most authentic punjabi cuisine in the rural belt. Pure ghee, fat laden milk and other things. I was in a village called Lalto where the villagers would get me some ethnic Punjabi dishes”.
He further claimed that when offered such delicious food a foodie like him could not resist the temptation“Who cares about weight when you get to eat such tasty food? I will get rid of those extra pounds by spending time in the gym," he said.
