The 24-year-old songstress is famed for her blonde locks, which she styles in a variety of interesting ways.

Gagas has dyed her fringe a shocking black colour for her latest look, which provides a sharp contrast with the fair locks covering the rest of her head.

The singer explained her new style via social-networking site Twitter, saying she wanted to evoke a new monster look.

Dyed my bangs black. Its my new monster look. Let the mitosis of the future begin. Off to meet Judas (sic), wrote the star.

It is not known exactly what the monster look is, although Gaga famously calls her fans Little Monsters and encourages an individual aesthetic.

The talented singer has been busy working on her latest music promo recently, and was happy to say the video for Born This Way is complete. Without giving too much away, Gaga confirmed that lashings of her trademark lipstick have contributed to the artistic process.
