Hob salons designer Claire Dawson believes the young singer manages to effortlessly alter her look with minimal effort. She advises that those wishing to imitate her look can easily achieve it, despite her superstar status.

When Pixie wants some variety, she sweeps over her parting, which instantly changes her style. If you want a parting like Pixie, use a pintail comb to draw in a string centre parting or a softer side version when the hair is still damp, she revealed.

The 20-year-old singer is currently nurturing a budding fashion reputation following the launch of her own clothing range with British retailer Lipsy. As a result, the star is fully aware that her style efforts will be severely monitored. However, Claire advises how she manages to create the singers iconic look.

Pixie prefers it when her hair is less groomed, so we try to create lots of texture by using Sebastian Professional Mousse Forte on the roots. When forming waves, I use a hairdryer, one small round bristle brush and one larger one. The smaller brush creates a tighter curl and the larger one makes loose waves, she added. (C) Cover Media
