This makes her the most popular person on the social networking site and the first person to reach this landmark.

The Judas singer has edged out her nearest competitor Justin Bieber who has 18 million followers and Katy Perry who has a still remarkable 15.7 million fans receiving her tweets.

Latin singer Shakira and Barbadian beauty Rihanna are next with 14 million supporters each.

Lady Gaga took the throne as the celebrity with the highest number of online fans on the popular site when she overtook Britney Spears in August 2010. The pop princess now has 13.5 million followers but is not as active a tweeter.

Meanwhile the Bad Romance songstress is showing that she is actually quite thoughtful in the love department by reportedly making a scrapbook for her beau Taylor Kinney while she's away on the road.

The romantic collection of photographs and personal memorabilia includes the room key from their first trip away together, pictures of themselves cooking, cuddling and sleeping and the restaurant menu from their first date.
