The 24-year-old is known for playing Blair Waldorf in television series Gossip Girl, but also has a talent for singing. The actress showcases her voice in the movie Country Strong where she portrays a beauty queen who aspires to be a country singer. The star believes as a result of the movie she has grown to like country music although she finds it hard to pen.

Ive fallen in love with it. Its hard to write a country song because its catchy and its storytelling. Its music that lasts, she told Total Film magazine.

Leighton admits she may have to contend with extra attention from the media following her increased exposure through films, television and music but remains adamant that the extra scrutiny wont affect her. She credits her family for keeping her grounded despite the fame.

Fame isnt an issue because I come from a loving family. In Florida we just hang out on the boat, swim, lie in bed, eat popcorn and watch movies, she added. (C) Cover Media
