Akshat Varma written and directed 'Kaalakaandi' featuring Saif Ali Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam is all set to hit theatres on Jan 12, 2018.

Following the trailer, makers have unleashed two of its song and both are not in Hindi. The first song 'Swagpur Ka Chaudhary' is quite quirky and includes some Haryanvi lines. Performed by Akshay Verma, this slow pace rap song has the characters of the flick grooving against some graphically generated background. Talking about the next song 'Kaala Doreya' which is a popular Punjabi folk song traditionally called Gidda which is often recited at the weddings. Showcasing a wedding occasion from the film, Akshat Verma decided to include a traditional number and revamped this folk song adding more beats to it. This Punjabi song is crooned by Neha Bhasin and it has a rap by English rap artist, Raxstar and music is given by Sameer Uddin. Here is the official music video.
