(Cover) - EN Movies - Lenny Kravitz has revealed that his upcoming movie The Hunger Games will be "incredible".

The musician admits he hadn't heard of the book series by Suzanne Collins until he was cast for the film adaptation, but now he is a big fan.

The 47-year-old star is playing Cinna, a stylist who becomes a crucial ally to lead character Katniss - played by Jennifer Lawrence as she prepares to fight other teenagers to the death to save her community.

"I'm really excited to be playing Cinna. Reading the book, I'm seeing everything - the Capitol, the arena, all this stuff. This world is going to be incredible," he told Rolling Stone. "I hadn't read the book yet, so I didn't know what it was. I go out and get the book, read it - oh, wow!"

Lenny also explained that he only chooses film projects that he believes are right for him and his career.

The Fly Away singer, who has enjoyed a hugely successful music career, made his first steps into the acting industry with a small part in critically acclaimed drama Precious.

"I'm not just trying to push my career forward to push it forward," he said. "I want to do the right things. Precious was a great way to start, really low-key, and now this. We'll see where it goes from here." (C) Cover Media
