(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leona Lewis would love to play a leather-clad rebel in an episode of Glee.

The British singer is renowned for being shy and softly-spoken, but has recently appeared in public wearing more daring outfits. Leona appears to be keen to toughen up her image and has her sights set on landing a risqu role in the award-winning television show. She is a huge fan of Glee, which follows a group of misfit high school students who belong to a musical club - and she knows exactly what type of character she could play.

"I'd love to be on Glee," Leona told E! online. "I'd love to play a rebel. Be a real biker chick in leather and covered in tattoos. A real badass."

However, the 25-year-old star whose hits include Bleeding Love and Better in Time is willing to settle for a quieter role if she has to. Leona who is good friends with Glee actor Matthew Morrison - would also be interested in portraying someone who is timid at first, but soon blossoms into a popular student.

"I could also play like a geek who becomes a swan," she added.

If Leona does manage to impress Glee bosses and secure a role in the show, she will be the latest in a line of stars who have appeared. Britney Spears, Gwyneth Paltrow, Josh Groban and Olivia Newton John have previously starred in episodes, while Jennifer Hudson, Javier Bardem, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez have all been tipped to appear in the show.
