Liam Hemsworth has gushed about Jennifer Lawrence calling her a "ridiculously talented actress."

The pair co-star in the upcoming movie The Hunger Games where the Australian actor said they had a great time filming together.

Liam was honoured at Cosmopolitan's Fun and Fearless Men and Women Awards in New York City last night and told reporters about working with his leading lady.

"I think I expected her to be a little more straight edge than she was," he laughed. "She was completely unpredictable, in the greatest way possible and, you know, very energetic and fun to work with."

"Most of my stuff is with Jennifer, and she was an incredible person to work with. Extremely fun and energetic; a ridiculously talented actress."

Liam also spoke about having to change his look for the part and letting go of his blonde hair.

"It was very, very weird," Liam shared. "I had never dyed my hair for anything before; it took a little getting used to. It was hard for me to get used to having brunette hair. It was very odd."
