Liam Neeson proud of Hangover tattoos

8th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Liam Neeson will be covered in shamrock tattoos for his appearance in The Hangover sequel.

The Irish actor plays a tattoo artist in The Hangover Part II, and has revealed make-up artists spent hours making sure he looked the part. Liam admits he isnt sure if the character was originally supposed to have an Irish accent, but decided it would work so he was given matching body art to show off his patriotic side.

"I play an Irish tattooist, strangely enough, living in Bangkok. At least I made him Irish," he told MTV News. I get covered in tattoos. Shamrocks, 'I love Ireland,' all stamped all over me."

Although the sequel to the hit film starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis is set in Thailand, Liam has revealed he never made it to Bangkok. He was only needed on set for a day, so he was able to travel to a movie studio in the US rather than fly across the world for his scenes. The 58-year-old star was thrilled to land a role in the movie and had a great time working with the cast.

"Didn't make it to Thailand. I made it to Warner Bros.' studio... They built a set, which could've been in Thailand, he explained. "It was pretty intense. I was only there for one day - a Sunday, as far as I remember. But it was good to be with Bradley Cooper - he's a buddy - and the other two gentlemen, I'd never met them before, but I love what they do. The three of them are just, they reinvent the Three Stooges in a very funny way."

In the first film, a group of men went to Las Vegas for a wild bachelor party, and a series of bizarre events occurred. The sequel will see the friends travel to Thailand to attend the wedding of Stu who is played by Ed Helms.

Liam isnt the only famous face to have joined the cast for the follow-up.

Paul Giamatti is believed to have landed a small role, while reality television star Jamie Chung will play Stus fiance and Juliette Lewis will also appear.

Former boxer Mike Tyson will also be returning for a cameo role in The Hangover Part II, which will be released in cinemas worldwide later this year. (C) Cover Media
